EXCUSE ME I HAVE SOMETHING IN MY EYE
Hey Ryan.
Jesus tapdancing Christ that tricep is giving me all kinds of feels right now.
(Related to my last text post )
I have successfully drilled four new holes into my R3 plate (front ones, the back ones were so close to the heel cutoff that I did not dare mess with them), and the bolts/plates FIT PERFECTLY! :D

(Also felt like a total bad-ass with my new Black&Decker 500W and multiple drillbits)

I have now screwed the plates on tight and am anxiously awaiting my better half to arrive home with a brand new bolt-cutter ;)
Will post pictures as soon as I can!
YAY I FEEL LIKE A GOD DAMN ADULT RIGHT NOW WOO

THANKS everyone for the advice :)
Most likely because its a 45 degree plate you will be fine. I probably wouldn’t do a short and forward, I’d center it but that is just my personal preference. I like having the plate/back wheels under my heels as they are on a standard mount. A lot of jammers seem love the short forward, but I felt unsteady on the one I tried.
DEAR DERBY PEOPLE:
I need advice. I previously had a pair of size 6 R3s (yes, I know, don’t hate, I was young and had no money). I upgraded the plate on those last year, from the plastic crap to the Sure-Grip International DA45 Mag Avenger, size 2. The Mag Avengers have…
Thanks for the advice :) I think it will be fine, as it seems there’s only about 1-1,5cm difference in length between the two plates, and it didn’t take me that long to adjust to the original Avengers when I got them. I’m just going to go for it and if it totally doesn’t work I’ll save the plates for other future boots (the R3’s are anyway a bit too big, compared to my Cinderella-shoe-feeling Bonts ;))
I’ll probably use the already existing holes in the heel and drill new ones in the front, that way it will be more centered than SF.
Thanks again!
